Contact your GP and discuss a possible referral
Contact Mind-Care to schedule an appointment.
Our clinicians will review your referral from your doctor. Once reviewed, a member of our support team will be in touch to arrange a time for you.

Once your appointment is confirmed with our support team, you will be provided with consent forms and your rights of confidentiality. If you are seeing a Mind-Care Clinician under a Medicare – Mental Health Care Plan, please see your GP to complete the referral.

Initial appointments are generally between 50 and 90 minutes, to allow your Specialist to gather detailed assessment information and gain an understanding of how Mind-Care can help.

When you meet, your specialist will carefully explain ongoing plans for intervention, and answer any questions you may have. After this initial assessment, a plan for therapy is drafted in conjunction with you, pinpointing goals for treatment and outlining what approaches might suit best.

In general, therapy can last approximately 6 to 10 sessions, spaced appropriately to your needs. The length of treatment and individual sessions will vary according to the nature of your problem. Periodically during therapy, reviews of progress will be made in order to make adjustments where necessary and ensure you are staying on track in your mental health and well-being journey.

You can expect the support of an empathetic, caring and highly experienced clinician who will identify, treat and provide strategies and skills that will enhance your well-being and success.
